Games-Cartons Unleashed !!!

Hello friends...

Yes,,,, finally it happened !!!

The thing that we & our children were desperately waiting for....
Since last Wednesday, I was persuading our children that we will play the Carrom Board on Sunday...
The main reasons for the delays being the required number of volunteers to coordinate with them during this show,...

Though Priyanka, Kailash, Devesh & Azad were unable to come but thanks to Archana teacher...she arrived on time with one of her wonderful friends- Nina teacher.... They really did the awesome work again, disciplining our children....
Nina has promised many wonderful activities like craft, drawing for our children, counsellors,etc....

Also we got in a new volunteer Ushma, a class XI student from Mulund, daughter of one of our teachers from NHP school...
She mingled up fast with our children...& children too enjoyed their new Didi's company.... We have added her in our group...
One of our youngest volunteers !!!!

Ramesh, Vishal, Richa, Avishkar & Arun too turned up & helped our children play Carrom, snakes & ladders & ludo...
Most of the children know how to play carrom especially Anil, Vinod, Raju, Mallesh etc...
While there were some like Einnetti who enjoyed their first thrilling experience ....

What amazed me was, that most of them were unaware of snakes & ladders & ludo....!!!!
But as expected, they didnt take much time to master this & then begin the uproar...
" sir, main jeet gayaa!", "madam, main sabse pehle jeet gaya!"

We divided them into various groups wherein the Carrom & snakes/ladders teams swapped after their turns...
The waiting list did bring in some disappointments but soon the skipping ropes did the magic !!!

We distributed the 4 ropes among 4 groups...asking each one to count till 50 etc...
Shainki & Einneti are really good, but Madhuri is Champ in this..!!!.
Ushma too had fun with Kalpana, Shainki & Anjali with this stint...

HP got bit late in this or else he would have truly enjoyed his Cricket with our little players !!!!
Badminton could not be opened still.. ;-(
May be next Sunday, we will have outdoor games...
This will really thrill them.. their Sirs, Teachers & Didis with them -- on the ground !!!!
what say??

A word for all the volunteers--
You are free to play the games with them even on weekdays....but make it a point that you control & channelize their wild enthusiasm properly during this... That was the only reason, I kept postponing the event to Sunday...But if you feel, you can handle it, please go ahead... In fact, if planned properly, this is one of the best ways through which we can teach discipline to our children...We can even encourage competition by distributing prize to the winners.... (Chocolates are kept in the cupboard drawer)

All in all a real fun-filled action-packed day, we all were waiting for ... Loads of enthusiasm, cheers, smiles , victory-cries & finally Bharat Mata Ki Jay slogans (after anthem)...

An last but definitely not the least, the major credit for this goes to Prof. Mani ,who has benevolently donated this wonderful stuff for our children,,,, We apologize for all the delay but promise to make the best use of it....

Do check out the snaps in this link....
